Service User Group


The Service User Group offers:

  • An introduction to the work of the Consortium in a friendly & informal atmosphere
  • Safe space for interaction with, learning from & meeting other service users, , carers & survivors
  • Opportunity to influence decisions & develop a collective service user voice
  • Opportunity for personal development & training
  • Peer support
  • Opportunity to use personal skills & experience

The agenda for the meeting is created by service users & a service user always chairs the meeting. People can choose their own level of involvement & take time out when needed. Refreshments are provided & travel expenses paid.

The group meets on:
Third Monday of every Month,

– Service User Group Dates 2017: 20th Feb, 20th Mar, 24th Apr, 15th May, 19th Jun, 17th Jul, 21st Aug, 18th Sept, 16th Oct, 20th Nov, 18th Dec

11.30 am – 2.00 pm at The Brink, 15-21 Parr Street, Liverpool L1 4JN

11.30 am – 12.10 pm: Social time & drinks in the Brink

12.10 – 2.00 pm: Meeting in small meeting room at the back of the Brink

 

PEER SUPPORT IN LIVERPOOL

The Consortium’s Service User Group members raised the issue that, whilst talked about a great deal, the aims, provision & language of Peer Support across Liverpool was not clear. The Consortium, therefore, set up a Task & Finish Group, made up of commissioners, providers & service users.
