Film Night at FACT
Thursday 11th October, FACT, 88 Wood St, Liverpool L1 4DQ
Adult Life Skills + Short Films
Anna is stuck: she’s approaching 30, living like a hermit in her mum’s garden shed & wondering why the suffragettes ever bothered. She spends her days making short films with her endlessly bickering thumbs.
However, when her school friend comes to visit, Anna’s self-imposed isolation becomes impossible to maintain. Soon she is entangled with a troubled 8-year-old boy obsessed with Westerns, & the local estate agent whose awkward interpersonal skills continually undermine his attempts to seduce her.
Directed by Rachel Tunnard, & starring Jodie Whittaker (One Day, Broadchurch, Dr Who), Alice Lowe (Prevenge, Sightseers), Brett Goldstein (ITV’s Uncle, Drifters), Adult Life Skills is a distinctly eccentric, witty & moving British triumph.
Before the main feature, we’ll be showing short films with a wellbeing theme, by and about local people – Watch this space for details!
Tickets are free, but please note that The Box has a capacity of 50, so pre-booking is advisable and will be available soon.
