LIVERPOOL MENTAL HEALTH FESTIVAL 2018
10th – 14th October 2018
‘Liverpool Mental Health Festival is phenomenal – an opportunity to bring together arts and mental health to create informative, fun, entertaining events’
We have been coordinating activities to celebrate World Mental Health Day, across Liverpool, since 2010. What began as one afternoon of activities has grown into Liverpool Mental Health Festival, which includes art, choirs, comedy, dance, drama, film, music, workshops, writing, advice and information. The aim has always been to raise awareness of mental distress, promote positive wellbeing, and challenge stigma. We think we’ve achieved that, with at least 128 partner organisations involved, 167 events, 117 volunteers, 1,003 workshop places, and a staggering 33,225 conversations!
‘Thank you for organising such a fantastic festival, with so many diverse and interesting things for all to be involved in. I had an excellent time with everything I engaged with. I don’t recall ever seeing a World Mental Health Day festival anywhere in the country of this size.’
